We moved to Ellijay from Flowery Branch, GA in 2007 to work with Global Youth Ministry, an organization that trains youth pastors to go abroad and train youth pastors. Little did we know God would lead us to start a church! I have long considered myself to be a dad, father, caver, coffee-drinker, photographer, and camper. For years, I've served churches as a youth pastor. NEVER did I think God would call me to pastor.

Sherry and I got married in January of 1990 at our home church in Orlando, Florida. We've got a couple of great teenage kids that keep life interesting for us. Zac plays the drums, and Lauren plays soccer. Both of them serve at The Orchard Church in different ways.

Sherry is a Para-Professional at Gilmer High School. She was at Clear Creek Middle School for the last couple of years, but she is moving up! (she's finally graduated to high school!) She also sings on the worship team on Sunday mornings.

After attending Columbia Bible College and Seminary (now called Columbia International Institute) I served as youth pastor for several medium-sized churches in Florida and Georgia. Sherry and I both have a passion to see God at work in the world through the church.

We are also big fans of Starbuck's. In fact, I'm always looking for an excuse to hang out there a little bit... So if you want to meet up, just let me know, and we'll grab a venti Sumatra together!
