Church.
A group of people called to
cooperate with God in a
specific purpose on earth.

We believe that Church should never be distilled down to a set of beliefs that everyone ascribes to. EVEN THE DEMONS BELIEVE. (James 2:19) We believe that we are called to reach people that nobody else is reaching and changing the Kingdom forever!
In order to remove roadblocks, we have made the decision to focus on the things that unite us, not the things that divide us.

There are some core values and beliefs that we believe the Bible to be very clear on...

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of church is this?

it seems like the easiest way to define an individual church is by it's worship style. Traditional, Contemporary, Liturgical, Monastic, whatever. The truth is that style doesn't matter. Connecting people to God is what does matter. We will use whatever methods we can to do this. Our approach will be contemporary, but our message will be timeless.

Who are you affiliated with?

We are a non-denominational church. For a rundown on our doctrinal beliefs, please see our "beliefs" page.

Exactly how "new" are you?

We officially launched at the movie theater in Ellijay on Easter Sunday, 2009. Prior to that, we had a small “launch team” of people praying, planning, and preparing for what God was going to do. Since that time, we filled one service in the movie theater, started a second service, and are coming close to filling that one on some Sundays.

Another church in Gilmer County?

Yep! Despite the fact that Gilmer County seems to already have an abundance of churches, we've found that approximately 28% of local residents are connected to the Body of Christ. Not to mention that only 11% of Gilmer County residents are involved on a regular basis. That's around 3000 people out of 28,000. We have a lot of work to do.

We don't believe that church membership or even attendance is necessary for a person to have a relationship with God. We have, however, experienced the abundance of life that comes with being a fully functional member of the Body of Christ, connected to other believers in life-sharing relationships.

What about youth ministry?

Our youth ministry launched in January of 2010. Since they can't meet in the movie theater on Wednesday nights, (movies showing) they meet at the Bread N Bowl on top of the hill behind the hospital. Plenty of details available at www.ellijayyouth.com.

What about children's ministry?

Children are vitally important to us. In fact, we've just made a HUGE investment into children's ministry so they can have a cool, loving, caring environment for children that is engaging and fun. We want to create a sub culture that helps children FALL IN LOVE with God, His Word, and the church. Check out our Kidmo and Lil'K video on this page.
